Annual Celebration

Even from the very beginning, we’ve understood that Temple Emanu-El is something to celebrate.

Our very first Annual Celebration took place in 1928, the same year that Temple Emanu-El was created in its first iteration.

This year marked our 97th Annual Celebration, highlighting Temple Emanu-El’s role as a  spiritual, religious, and communal center for Bergen County and beyond. We have touched lives, exercised our minds, shared milestones, and wiped away tears. We’ve strengthened the bonds of our greater community and connected in meaningful ways with Israel and with God.

Our members are the most important part of our future as we chart the path for the next century – and while we take strides to celebrate our legacy and recognize our members throughout the year, there is nothing like our Annual Celebration.

Taking place each March, our Annual Celebration is a chance for our congregation to dress to the nines (“tie-less and terrific” is our dress code), bid on some exciting items through our silent auction, and hand out awards to some of our most dedicated congregants in recognition of the ways they’ve shaped the temple immeasurably.

Planning the Annual Celebration takes a village – and we are so grateful to the Gala Chairs, Honorary Committee, Celebration Coordinators, and our Executive Committee for their tireless efforts to flawlessly execute this event.

Keep your eyes peeled for the save the date arriving at the end of the year, with an official invitation to come in January!

There are opportunities to join us for events all year-round.

Step into the sanctuary of Temple Emanu-El and find solace, connection, and purpose waiting for you today.
