Trips

Temple Emanu-El is much more than a building with a sanctuary, offices, Torah scrolls, and our celebration space. Temple Emanu-El is a community that centers around people, experiences, culture, common dreams, shared hopes, and a collective history. The building is where we often gather, but Temple Emanu-El transcends walls and zip codes.

That is one of the compelling reasons why our missions have  been a cherished spoke in the wheel of connection at our temple. In the past dozen years, our synagogue has reached beyond our borders and explored Jewish life in Israel, Morocco, Portugal, The United Arab Emirates, Poland, Germany, Bahrain, Argentina, Ukraine, and more.

Each of these places offers rich history, unique customs,  a storied chronicle of Jewish life today and yesterday, and foundations for a renewed Jewish life tomorrow. From museums to ancient synagogues, Holocaust memorials, unique cuisines, and Israeli ambassadors, the Jewish connection points in all of these places are many and magnificent.
