Aufruf & Wedding Blessing

At a Shabbat service prior to their wedding, a couple can arrange to be blessed with an Aliyah to the Torah, asking for God’s blessings for them on their forthcoming marriage and life together. Families are asked to co-sponsor the Kiddush that day as part of the celebration.

Our rabbis are also available to  officiate weddings. They meet with the couples beforehand to ensure they play their part in making your big day as special as it can be.

A premiere North Jersey venue, Temple Emanu-El is a popular location for weddings of members and non-members alike. If you’re interested in celebrating your wedding with us, more information is available here.

Our clergy is available to assist Temple Emanu-El members with all lifecycle events, in support of you and your family: To celebrate with you in times of joy and to guide you in moments of struggle, from the beginning of life to its inevitable culmination.

Families must be a member of Temple Emanu-El to celebrate a lifecycle with us.

Chareen Kramer, Executive Assistant to Clergy,  will be happy to assist in the coordination of any lifecycle event. Please call 201-750-9997 ext 207 or email her at  kramer@tecloster.org.
