Sisterhood Wildfire Relief Fundraiser
Our Temple community is heartbroken by the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The Sisterhood of TE wishes to take the lead in raising funds to help those affected and, in particular, our Jewish community there.
At this time, we have learned that monetary donations are the most effective way to assist and we have identified two ways we can provide support.
First, we will contribute to the Jewish Federation of North America’s national emergency campaign. This fund will address the urgent needs of both the Jewish community and the broader Los Angeles area. One hundred percent of our donations will go directly toward providing essential assistance.
Second, we are naming Kehillat Israel, a Reconstructionist congregation in the Pacific Palisades, our honorary sister synagogue. While their synagogue remains standing, hundreds of their members have tragically lost their homes. We will be donating to their relief fund and plan to keep in touch in the coming months to provide additional support.
Sisterhood will be donating to both of these organizations. Together, we will send a donation on behalf of the Temple Emanu-El community to support these vital efforts.
