Passover Seder

In every generation we are commanded to imagine that we, personally, made the Exodus from Egypt in commemoration of Passover. Us, wearing our modern-day clothes, surfing the internet and posting matzah pics on Instagram, seeing who can take the largest bite of horseradish without needing water, are supposed to imagine we were in the desert and freeing ourselves from slavery.

Passover is a time-machine of sorts that transports us to thousands of years ago, to wrestle with our past as we envision a more prosperous future. We gather with the people who mean the most to us, ask life’s most existential questions, and speak to the challenges that surround us at that moment in time.

We are exceptionally proud of our communal Seder at Temple Emanu-El. Appropriate for babies to Zaydies, we explore the potency and purpose of this valuable ritual for our people, while enjoying the traditional (and delicious) seder meal, exercising our minds, and expanding our bellies.

Like all communal events at Temple Emanu-El, our seder will make you laugh, think, deepen connections and help shape the Jewish world our next generation will inherit.

Bring your questions (more than four are welcome) and pass the Gefilte Fish!

Tickets are typically $118 per adult and $36 for children. They go on sale a few months before passover. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with current ticket sales.
