Tikkun Olam

Many of our Tikkun Olam events are planned and produced by our Sisterhood and Men’s Club. In the past, they have held successful Dueling Pianos events, which raised money for the Torah Fund, our TE Golf Outing, a charity golf event supporting Brothers for Life (Israel’s Wounded Warriors), and Magen David Adom. We also encourage the practice of Tikkun Olam from an early age, with our Religious School students participating in a school-wide Mitzvah Day. Below are just a few of the mitzvahs and organizations Temple Emanu-El has helped!

Tomchei Shabbat (packaged food), Bikkur Cholin of Rocklands (wrote & drew cards for those in hospitals), teens visit our seniors at Jewish Home Family/Jewish Home Assisted Living, Just One More Thing partners with Closter Food Pantry to combat food insufficiency in our community, Book Drive for Hingi’s Library with JFCS, CFA Action (snacks packed), annual coat drive and donation to thrift in Spring Valley, and packing for Ukraine Mission.

Step into the sanctuary of Temple Emanu-El and find solace, connection, and purpose waiting for you today.
